Where are you right now?

Between two collections. One finished which is in a process of realization. The other collection is already in my mind ready to be crafted in material.

Who is Tea Avosaps after all?

Tea Avosaps is the result of the two lives of Teodora Spasova. Teodora is a mathematician and economist by degree and practice, until she reached her comfort zone where she had everything needed for a peaceful life. She didn’t felt completely happy. Then, I decided that the thing which brings me the biggest pleasure will be my profession. Precisely - to create a shell for the human body.

Are you an easy person to live with?

I boldly can say that I am the most suitable person for coexistence. The thing that makes me happiest is to help and to please the people around me.

Where does your inspiration come from?

Through my conscious and subconscious.  The provocation appears as an arrow that pierces me in a great way. In this type of moment I am bound with the implementation of an idea.

Where do you do all your creative work?

In our studio and atelier.  I design a temple for the body and create it in my inner temple, my creative space.

What is your favorite time of year?  Why?

This question sounds as if what's your favorite child or your favorite garment of your collection. I live in this world with such meteorology that got lucky being in a latitude in which I live each season the fullest. Each of them has a unique charm that can’t be replaced by anything else.

What was the best moment in your life?

Maybe I'll repeat myself, but it is the genesis of the idea. The moment where the idea for a new design appears in my mind.

What makes you angry?

Bad quality and the lack of culture.

What makes you happy?

Describe your personal style in three words.

I will be sad if I can do it. My main goal is to build aesthetic that cannot be determined by a number of verbal expressions. Aesthetic and visual sensation that provokes one’s mind to perceive it in their own way. To be an undefined perception.

What is your favorite color?

For me the shape is in importance, thus the color for me is an unnecessary addition to the state of the object.

What is your guiltiest pleasure?

I feel guilty, when I decide to give time for myself and not to my work.

What Book are you reading by now?

Currently I am all about the specialized literature since I was invited to teach fashion brand building and I wanted to overwhelm the students with quality literature.

Can you name an artist you admire?

Constantin Brancusi

What do you think about art?

It is my universe. I study it constantly, revealing passages, dependencies and consequences as I have found it in the mathematics.

Your recent songs you're listening at the moment?

Solo songs currently do not attract me. I am attracted in music from real instruments, including 432hz sound.

What is the trait you most deplore in yourself?

Which words or phrases do you most overuse?

I completely delete parasitic words from my grammar. I believe they are one of the evidences for a genocide. The richness of language is just as important as the diverse food is. The constant usage of words and phrases are blocking one’s personal evolution. Still, we live in a world of physical laws for constant movement, if it stops everything disappears.

Is there anything you don't like to wear at the moment?

No. For me the clothing is a temple that serves and keeps the body safe. I wouldn’t allow myself to use something unnecessary.

Where would you most like to be right now?

In front of my cutting table. I have a dozen ideas that I want to materialize.

Thank you very much, Tea Avosaps!
